Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Stone developed an interest in the legal profession at an early age through his mother, who has practiced as a solo attorney for more than four decades. Watching the difference dedicated legal representation could make in people's lives inspired his commitment to helping individuals facing powerful corporations, insurance companies, and other well-funded opponents.

A former collegiate athlete, Stone graduated cum laude from Lafayette College with double majors in History and Government & Law and a minor in Theater. He was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society, earned Dean's List recognition for six semesters, and remained active in theater productions throughout college, eventually directing an original production of his own work.

Stone earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center on scholarship. After graduation, he scored in the top one percent on the Texas Bar Examination, reflecting the preparation and discipline that continue to define his approach to client representation.

Throughout his career, Stone has represented clients in a broad range of complex litigation, including catastrophic motor vehicle collisions, commercial trucking accidents, industrial disasters, and maritime claims. Maritime law has become one of his favorite areas of practice because of its unique legal framework and the hardworking people it protects. Regardless of the type of case, Stone remains committed to helping clients level the playing field against corporations and insurance companies with substantially greater resources.

Outside the office, Stone enjoys golfing, traveling, experiencing different cultures, and learning about languages from around the world. He is also an avid sports fan who cheers on the University of Houston, follows the Baltimore Ravens, and enjoys international soccer, especially during the FIFA World Cup.
